Booker, Walter

Bassist. Born December 17, 1933, in Prairie View, Texas; died November 24, 2006 in New York City.

Booker’s family moved to Washington, D.C. in the early 1940s. He again lived in Washington following his service in the U.S. Army, attending Howard University for two years before moving to New York City in 1964.
