Saunders, Stump

Drummer. Harry T. Saunders born January 17, 1933 in Washington, D.C.; died October 12, 1994.

Brother of drummer Billy Saunders (William Russell Saunders, d. August 29, 1978).

Member of Shirley Horn’s trio in 1960. Recorded with Sonny Rollins in 1962. Worked in a trio with John Malachi and Keter Betts behind numerous visiting artists at the Showboat Lounge in the 1960s.
