Capacity 2,750. There are several performance spaces including the Concert Hall, Terrace Theater, and Theater Lab.
Early jazz programming, including the “House of Sounds” festival, was coordinated by Willis Conover.
Dr. Billy Taylor served as artistic advisor from 1994 to his death in 2010. Jason Moran was named as Taylor’s successor.
The series Billy Taylor’s Jazz at the Kennedy Center was co-produced with National Public Radio and ran from 1994 to 2002.
